As a scientist, data collection is extremely important in our daily work.
Your task is to collect REAL data by yourself in which you will create a data table (including the four essential components of a data table- see your Scooping Up Science Skills Data Table/Graphing packet ) and develop a BAR graph (including the five essential components of a graph) of this data.
You will also have to develop an inference in regards to what you now know about your data by analyzing the data table and graph.

TASKS
Draw or use the data table provided
Create your graph on the back side of this sheet or it can be created on the computer.
Develop an inference by writing it in your spiral or it can be typed.

Answers Review Guide #3

1. MV- Temperature
   RV- growth of plant
   CV- soil, pot, water, sunlight

Hypothesis- If you increase the temperature, then the growth of the plant will also increase

2. MV- amount of sugar
    RV- taste of Kool- Aid
   CV- type of sugar, type of Kool-Aid, container

Hypothesis- IF the amount of sugar increases, then the Kool Aid will taste better.

3. MV- amount of candy
    RV- number of cavities
    CV- type of candy, person, size of candy 

Hypothesis- IF the amount of candy increase, then the number of cavities will also increase.

Prediction- I think that if I eat more candy I will get more cavities  



Journal Entries through a Google Doc 

Checklist



1. Share Google doc with me through email.

2. Add message function when Google doc is shared.  Write an email message to me stating what journal entry you are submitting.
3. Can share with me at any time before the due date and by 2:40 pm on the date it is due. If it is an early release day it s due by12:25 pm. 

4. If you submit your journal entry after 2:40 pm or 12:25 pm, it is considered LATE. 



*** You can continue to submit your spiral notebook to me on the due date, if you would like to handwrite your entry***
